When I’m not writing or doing much of anything else, I read. A lot. Other than sports I like to keep up on just about anything in the news. Things that seem to have no connection to my life find funny ways of filtering into my writing.

I’ve been writing off and on for most of my life. It's only in the last decade or so that I finally feel that I might have something to say. I feel this way because of all the interconnectedness I now find in everything. I got here by reading anything that looked interesting.

If you want to be a better writer, keep reading. Generally, that is. Not the rest of this article necessarily, but these ten articles below will show you how wide my feed goes. Knowing a little bit about everything allows the mind to explore and investigate in new ways. It keeps the mind open to limitless possibilities.
