Everyone that wants to live forever is an asshole.
This includes anyone chasing an “afterlife” too.
The older I get the more of a realist I become. The more zen I become. All that matters is now. Right now. The very picosecond you read this word is all that matters.
I’ve recently had a few health scares that have again reminded me of my own mortality. I’m ok. It's just some dental work but man it blows getting old watching your body give up one fragment at a time. It reminded me that nothing lasts forever, especially a single human life. The only exception is the arrow of time itself, always moving in the direction of more entropy. Always moving forward and never back.
More things fall apart than are created. Anything created by God or man means something had to be sacrificed to make it.
There is never a free lunch.
Nothing lasts forever.
Immortality is a pipe dream be it on this plane of existence or some other.
