I got married this weekend!
I’ve never been this happy. Suck it, trolls!
On Saturday, October 8th, 2022 I got married for the first time in my life.
I’m 54 years old.
I don’t know how rare it is for someone my age to “finally” get married but, to all the people who say they “never” will, (or will again) I am here to tell you, someday you might.
My wife is a fantastic woman. I am her second husband. She is a widow. Her first husband died about 10 years ago of cancer. She had a boy with him who is now, officially, my stepson.
We met online about 9 years ago.
Today I find myself happier than I’ve ever been.
I don’t write about good news usually. The fact of the matter is, it does not sell. I guess that’s not entirely true as I consider the modern job of an “influencer” who does nothing all day but look good on a beach and post to Instagram. Maybe it's just that I don’t know how to write about good days and amazing lives. Maybe I, little ole me, have days better than most.
