I’m leaving Twitter too.
Social media is not your “family.”
The Muskinator decided a trillion dollars was not enough of a megaphone for his already loud mouth. So what did he do? He bought another giant megaphone.
I sold my Tesla stock a long time ago. I did so mostly because Elon has proven himself to be a loose-cannon narcissist. As an investor, I don’t want that in a CEO. I’m leaving Twitter as I’m done helping Elon get richer and becoming an even bigger narcissist.
As I type this his newly acquired servers are dutifully compiling all my stuff into a zip file. When it is complete I am taking my ball and going home, Elon. This game sucks.
I like telling Medium that I am leaving these sites. I tell no one on the sites themselves. It's a fun bruise to my ego when after a few months I realize no one even noticed.
I’ve not really done much on Twitter except repost my Medium articles. I was nuts on Facebook though. I left FB almost two years ago.
I let things get way out of line more than a few times with people. I was addicted really. Doom scrolling and commenting at length. Do you want snark? Oh, I had it.
