As we age, it’s natural to wonder whether we’ve lived our lives to the fullest and made the most of our time on this earth. This is particularly true for those who are reaching the end of their lives and watching the world change around them.

However, the idea that it’s too late to make a difference or find one’s calling is a myth. In fact, there are countless examples of older individuals who have found their important and socially contributing calling late in life, making a meaningful impact on the world around them.

One such example is that of Laura Ingalls Wilder, the author of the beloved “Little House on the Prairie” series. Wilder didn’t begin writing the series until she was in her 60s, after a lifetime of various jobs and experiences. Her books have since inspired generations of readers and have become a cultural touchstone in American literature.

Another example is that of Colonel Sanders, the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken. Sanders didn’t begin developing his signature fried chicken recipe until he was in his 60s, after a lifetime of working odd jobs and running small businesses. His recipe became a sensation, and he went on to found one of the most successful fast-food chains in history.
