Is someone trying to extort Putin?
First the unused Nord Stream Two then Nord Stream One.
On September 26th a massive leak was discovered on the Nord Stream Two natural gas pipeline owned by Russian-controlled Gazprom. The next day Nord Stream One suffered two massive leaks.
Most of the world is calling it sabotage. Most of the world also has no clue who did it. No one is claiming responsibility so the big question now is why?
Nord One was not sending any gas to Europe after Putin turned it off. He’s pissed that NATO wants him out of Ukraine and, if all goes well, he knows they want to see him swinging from a cossack rope too.
Nord Two was not in operation because Putin killed the deal by pissing off Germany by invading Ukraine. Germany refused to sign off on Nord Stream Two’s completion.
Now both gas lines are doing no one any good, so who’s the winner?
