Love this. Only problem is the current batch of politicians would have to vote on doing this and give up power for their well ollied political machines that got them where ever that may be. This would have to start as a state wide petition probably. That then changes state law on how locals can govern. Or a long a futile bloody revolution, where in the current climate of brutal ignorance, an authoritarian fascist would probably rise instead. Lots of scenarios. How did the Greeks get this started in the first place?
