Medium’s “suffering for profit” model works very well.

You’re probably not going to like to hear this but the most money I ever made in here was from articles I later had to delete due to “wishing people dead.” Horrible? Sure but it's really hard to apologize lately. Sometimes that’s just how I feel about those choosing to be “free” but still willing to risk everyone’s lives around them for their privilege to be an asshole.

Medium told me to dump those articles or get dumped. I got rid of the articles but they were still out there somehow if people had the links! The money still trickled in for a few more days on articles I could now do nothing about because I deleted them off my pages.

Medium did not care. They kept getting their cut too.

Yep, being an asshole pays too well in here, for everyone, unfortunately.

I dance the line.

I’ll never wish anyone dead anymore but I’ll never toast to their health either if they rile me too far. The willfully ignorant can still eat shit for all I care.

I never bash Medium people directly in a headline.

Frankly few in here have name enough to draw traffic to make it worth the time, myself…
