Mostly true. I've lived in MI my entire life. I'm never leaving but we do have, heatwaves kinda, droughts sorta, tornadoes definitely, earthquakes 4.0s rarely, and mosquitoes that are carrying worse and worse diseases each new spring. That being said, our winters are probably the only thing you need to "fear." As you said though, they are becoming less of an issue. Please move here while there is still room! We've been suffering from "brain drain" for too long. Talented people keep leaving due to GOP/DEM bullshit and their mutual obsession with "manufacturing jobs" when AI tech, communication, and GREEN ENERGY is where the future money is. I don't care how many "jobs" are running to the south. No water? NO LIFE! MI HAS MORE FRESH WATER THAN ANY OTHER PLACE ON THE PLANET. The desert south is doomed as its not sustainable at all. The ocean coasts are doomed as Greenland is now in a runaway melt off. Louisana is already a lost cause. It's pretty much fully swamp. The smart ones have learned and left. Florida is next. (Thank god.) Once gone the entire south will have no protection from the soon enough Cat 6 storms. Texas. Yeah, fuck them too. Not me talking. Mother nature. Sometimes I think this is all by design so the rich can buy up so many pretty places we have here for cheaper than anywhere else.
