My unpopular opinion: The West should take Russia now. P2
No one is nuking anyone anytime soon.
A few days ago I wrote this:
The one comment it has so far is that Putin will nuke the world if anyone tries to take his country. Maybe, but that won’t be his first act out of the blue. He will give us many warnings of his desperation. He’s got plenty of other options to try first.
Anyone flying a nuke at people today is someone who is out of options. Anyone doing this has already determined that they have nothing more to lose. It’s a final act. A burn it all down moment. An “If I can’t have it then NO ONE CAN!” moment. Nukes are certainly against every “rule” the world has with regard to war. So are a whole bunch of other things.
Even if NATO crossed the border of Russia, nukes are still not the first thing Putin will go for.
He’s got toxic gas weapons.
He’s got incendiaries.
He’s got biological weapons.
