Putin is playing a risky but very long game.

At the time of posting this, Putin’s war is now on day 27. This is much longer than Putin’s yes men said this would take. He’s been lied to by everyone around him. But to call him a fool is probably foolish itself. He always has a plan B and this is what I think is coming next. Putin is long gaming this thing now. Whether he planned this or not is debatable, but here goes.
Ukraine has dug in. Russia is still in long-term clusterfuck mode. Communication with the front line and the Russian command has completely broken down. If you believe some of the reports, they may even be using captured cell phones to coordinate attacks. This has led to the easy targeting of field commanders. At last check, the Ukrainians have killed 5 Russian commanders by either drones, artillery, or snipers. Russia is now deep in its next Afghanistan. It's their next quagmire war. They will not win Ukraine but the effort to try may continue for years now.
