Ritten Off Day 15. We moved to a GOP county.

That means three more votes for Dems in 2024.

So we moved recently. Just a few minutes away from where we were. Still in MI but a new county. It's a very rural county. The total of votes here were just under 65,000 in 2020 but the turnout was almost 74%! That’s a significant bit higher than the national number of almost 67%.

Trump won this county by not even 500 votes.

We currently only have two in this household that can vote but by 2024 we’ll have an 18-year-old ready to do it for his first time. Unless he gets hit by lightning or has some other brain trauma, he’ll probably be voting blue.

I think more people like us need to move out of the cities.

The cities are becoming a wasteland of mismanagement and crime. I don’t know what’s going to make it better but it probably won't come from anyone that thinks more cops is the answer. Either way, I’m happy to be well out of the nearest population center now.

Cities are always more blue than red. It's where, statistically, smarter more educated people live. This can change as we all start working from home more and more. Biden’s infrastructure deal will soon bring everything the cities have to the country much more easily.
