We’re doing the human condition all wrong and I’m exhausted.

I love Medium.com. I love reading it almost as much as I do writing in it. I always find something interesting or inspirational to read or comment on.

Today was no different, but now I’m exhausted.

I discovered a new word today, “wetiko.” If you don’t already know what it means, learn.

The article above sent me off on a tiny journey of discovery today.

(I know. I know. Here I am, yet another white boy “discovering” shit. Well, someone has to be an ambassador to the rest of us dumb fucks, right? I may as well be the next one to give it another shot.)

The word “wetiko” is the word that Native Americans use to describe our disconnect from reality. It’s a word that describes the behavior of a cannibal. Not just a killer and consumer of one's own kind but a killer of all life itself. It describes those who eat their world utterly.
