Just found this today.
The feds are raising the cost to GTFO by $20. Grand total for me will be about $150 once I pay to get the photos made. I tried taking my own pics but it's a hassle to get the specs just right. We’re going to a CVS pharmacy today to do it and just be done with it.
I already have a passport but it's old and expired. I never even used it once! I gave up on travel a while ago for environmental reasons. No matter how you do it, it's a hell of a carbon footprint anymore. Unless you walk or ride a bike, your vacations are now being paid for by the next generation with more suffering. All that aside, I’m just not into dreaming of seeing far away places anymore really. People are still just people no matter where you go and no one likes Americans anymore.
