Was all this only to get us to buy stuff?

4:22 PM Somewhere south of Lansing, MI.

We are under a winter storm warning. Much of the MI west coast is under a blizzard warning.

All clear, cloudy and cold now. No flurries or wind.

We have prepared as much as possible and by preparing I mean several extra trips to the store to get enough snacks and things that can be cooked with a microwave or toaster oven. We have a generator but not one that is hooked up to the stove circuit. The hot water is set. The furnace and gas for heat are set. Standing by waiting for it all to become a white snowy Hell.

A generational storm, “once in a lifetime,” they are saying. Biden says “, to take it seriously.” I wonder what this is going to look like.

I’ve seen some pretty big snow events. I know it can pretty much immobilize an area but rarely more than a day maybe two. Sometimes it can be more.

Ice will be a big concern. It's going to rain and then freeze. Depending on how much it does, that may mean power lines breaking from the weight.

I hope this is not my final entry.

I doubt it but I’m sure “Florida man” never thinks the weather is going to kill him either.
