Get the fuck off the coasts, people!
As of this moment, there are seventeen people confirmed dead from Ian’s wrath.
There will be more.
It all should have been and could have been prevented.
Climate change is here. It’s real. It will keep murdering anyone that thinks they can live on a coastline safely. It will keep costing America billions and trillions of dollars to keep rebuilding. It will bankrupt insurance companies who will then have nothing to pay the rest of us when we need it.
There is serious talk of adding Category 6 or 7 to the hurricane meter.
We must demand that our government begin incentivizing the migration of people off of all our oceanic coastlines, especially the soon-to-be underwater Florida and, while I'm at it, Louisiana.
There is not enough concrete in the world to wall off the entire state of Florida, the east and west coasts, and the Gulf of Mexico. Even if there was WHY!!??
