This is going to be another one of those times that I see huge problems but decide to zoom out to look at them from far above. Again, I see us all acting like a stupid virus.
Like a virus, we are also hell-bent on reproduction at all costs. We will breed without limits. We will do fuck all whatever we want along the way, while we watch the biosphere of Earth move from cozy to boiling. We will continue our assault on Mother Nature until She wins by exterminating our entire species. She will take out other species as collateral damage if necessary. Nothing fuzzy, cute, or useful to us in any way is immune from Her wrath now. To bring back some semblance of balance to Her world, She has now declared Total War against Her latest most disruptive, and disrespectful of children, the homo sapien, us.
There is a term that I was aware of but never thought to really lookup. today I did. It's the policy of “Rules of Engagement.” There are many, I just found out. Typically ROE has been a military term. It's a long list of all the “should I or shouldn’t I” engage in deadly combat with a “threat.” While the official ROE is a long legal document, it is often broken down to a “card” that is then given to military personnel on the ground. This card is usually customized for the particular theater of conflict. Check it out!
