The Virus Day 141, Dimondale, Michigan

All well. Monday and that means math day! Teaching G math today as I do every M — F. I’m not a math whiz so it’s been interesting relearning some of the finer points of algebra again. We have had some breakthroughs lately that I hope are helping him get over his anxiety.

Math has the answer to everything. Absolutely everything. I want to study it more. I’m hoping as G advances and stays willing, I’ll keep going with it too. I wish I had been allowed to take it at the pace I needed too way back. I would have loved to been an engineer or scientist of some variety but the math was always the problem. It, like so much of my public ed, was forced down my throat with little compassion, just the threat of competition and “losing.” Like I gave two fucks about winning anything. I still hate playing games for the most part.

I would challenge ANY Ph.D. of history to duel with G. If it happened in Europe over the last 10,000 years, G knows. First is not always best. Do you know what is the worst though? Allowing the most opportunistic, psychopathic but diabolically brilliant bullies AND nerds to rise to the top. There are kids that have gifts and abilities in subjects that need to be nurtured now. Others are just not ready. If as they come up, they don’t understand a subject when others do, see if there is something that they might excel and allow them more focus to that! Focus on their interests! The rest will come as THEY find it necessary. Cookie-cutter public or private education programs have become a failure. Don’t agree? THEN WHY DO SO MANY DIPSHITS STILL NOT WANT TO WEAR MASKS!!?

Be well!
