The Virus Day 153, Dimondale, Michigan

A perfect moment. I hope it was worth it.

All well. We saw some of my family yesterday in St. Jo., MI. They all seemed in fine shape. Not a sneeze or cough among them all day. Honestly, we did not follow COVID protocols to the letter. None of them have been sick nor anywhere near anyone who has, to their knowledge, been sick.

There were no big hugs though and most of the activity was outside in the sun and breeze. We did go to a Lake MI beach but we kept our distance from strangers. We saw no masks on the beach but it was super windy too. Maybe some COVID blew on us from Wisconsin? Again, not a sneeze or cough was heard but I won’t slight you at all if you tell me, “See ya in two weeks.”

Now then, of course, I am still not in favor of opening anything inside. The evidence seems to be mounting that it's pretty much an “inside job?” Meaning COVID seems to care more if you’re in a tight space for a while with random people. Outdoors, distant, and familiar, (strong westerly wind on a wide-open lake), maybe ok? This is just me talking. Not a doctor. I’m also not as much a Nazi about all this as is probably truly necessary to keep everyone alive.

The contradictions abound.

I really don’t want to be a statistic or cause one, but the dogmatic difficulties of living this way are becoming apparent. Nevertheless, we should all just be fine if anyone…
