The Virus Day 20, Dimondale, Michigan
All well. Keeping in touch with loved ones as best we can. We made this “lawn card” last night and put it out just as the sun came up today. Brooke’s family all lives locally for the most part. It's nice to have them close. I wish my family were closer. My parents are 2 hours away. My sis and her family in Chicago are 3.5 hours. Chicago is in a more serious lockdown than we are. I hope all is well. We’ve only been texting and calling so far. Hopefully, we can get going on Zoom soon at least.
Yesterday was awesome though. Super nice out and got a little work done in the garden.
The neighbors to the north keep having people over. Mostly family it seems, but I don’t know what the fuck they are thinking, although they do seem to be staying apart from each other. I’m staying paranoid as fuck on this. We are all keeping our distance from them, remaining cordial but we are not going to hang out with them until this is well over.
The rest of the street seems ok so far. I keep reading about vaccines and cures etc. They better find something soon but I know I’m not going to be the guinea pig. I want to know what it's going to do to me first.
I also read today about an uptick in domestic violence. I was afraid I'd see that. It's a pressure cooker now and well, men are assholes when they start feeling powerless. No…
