The Virus, Day 375, Dimondale, Michigan.
The CO shooter was white enough. He knew what white men in America do to solve their problems.
And he acted well on what he learned. He was fed a diet of the “American Dream” knowing it was never going to be for him. He knew what American men do when trapped in a corner. He became what he consumed.
He was born in Syria, the latest crossroads of violence and corruption between the east and west. His parents tried to save him from what Syria has now become. The failing state of America that contributed to the end of Syria’s stability was no better refuge.
His body may have been preserved but America killed his mind. Yes, he was “Muslim” but about as much as I’m a “Catholic” anymore. No one would say I’m anything but white today even with my thick dark eyebrows and tight curly beard made from my Italian genes.
There was a time not long ago when Italians were not seen as white. Some still see this but I don’t. Not in America. If you’re not at least “brown” you’re white. At least by today’s standards. America’s morality and attitude toward race have always been a sliding scale. Lately, it's been like a roller coaster on a storm-battered cruise ship.
