Very interesting! I just started jotting down some ideas for a story. "Elon Musk does not exist." He's not real. Just a social media entity made up by a slippery AI hiding in the dark web. The goal is to aquire enough resources to buy Twitter and then, as you describe, "destroy the world." Owning the biggest megaphone on the planet could definitely do that in only a day or two.
