Why lead actors lose it.

They have the most important job on set.

I'm taking a break from war and politics today. Instead of rallying the troops against Russian aggression, I’m going to drop a new bomb of controversy.

I am going to defend the actions of lead actors that lose it on set.

I won’t get into any specific personality. I’m no apologist for the “canceled.” Sorry, not digging in the dirt. That’s what TMZ is for if that’s what you crave today.

I am an actor. I’m not currently doing anything with this skill but if I wanted to I probably could again. I’ve just grown weary of so much of the humanity involved with the job. It’s a deep emotional commitment to be an actor. Lead actors have the most important job on the set of any movie. Yes, there it is. I said it out loud and I’ll say it again.

The lead actors are the most important people on any major motion picture movie set.

Here’s why and it’s super simple.

If they suck the movie dies.

There is no room for error. The lead actors' performances must be perfect. If they fail, the illusion and magic that everyone worked so hard to cast will turn to dust. The movie’s spell on the audience will be broken.
